1. Service Description

Vernara is an AI-powered iOS app that helps you improve your spoken language. You say short sentences aloud in the language you are learning; Vernara transcribes what you said, shows you how a native speaker would put it, and collects those upgrades into a personal library that you practice over time through spaced review and optional daily reminders.

Vernara is provided as a subscription service. New users receive a free trial, after which continued access to the speaking and feedback features requires an active subscription. You can browse the library and progress you have already built without an active subscription.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Vernara. By creating an account and using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

3. Your Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information and keep your account secure.
• Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• You are responsible for what you record. Do not record other people without their consent, and do not submit unlawful, infringing, or abusive content through the microphone or text input.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the platform.

5. Service Availability

Vernara is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue it at any time.

6. Subscriptions and Billing

Free Trial

New subscribers may start with a free trial. A valid payment method is collected when the trial begins, and the subscription converts to a paid, auto-renewing subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.

Payment (Apple)

• Subscriptions are sold through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription is a recurring monthly subscription at the price shown in the app and on the App Store. It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal charge occurs within 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS under Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Apple handles all billing for these purchases.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

Access After Expiration

If your trial or subscription ends without renewing, you can still open the app and browse the library and progress you have already built. Starting new speaking sessions and generating new feedback require an active subscription.

7. Data and Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. We collect and process information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using Vernara you consent to that collection and use.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vernara and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, illegal activity, or at our discretion. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app under Settings > Account > Delete account & data. If you need help completing the process, contact us by email.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the service is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes are effective upon posting. Your continued use of Vernara after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
